Music
Before there was
Spotify, we used to listen to music on CDs, Cassettes, 8-track tapes and
records, and it was cumbersome as all hell. Records would deteriorate and
warp over time, CDs would skip and scratch, cassette tapes would warble and get
jammed and 8-track tapes wouldn't even let you rewind or skip, totally unlike
literally every other music format ever created. These globules of plastic
would eat up space in your home, required their own luggage sets if you
wanted to carry more than five on a long car trip and were cumbersome as all
hell. But they came with sweet, sweet art, and sometimes a commemorative
booklet, and that's why everyone loves them more than MP3s and other digital
download formats.
